Negotiated with Police and Fire Unions to form the first ever Chesterfield Public Safety Department. The One Chesterfield Public Safety model has reduced costs to residents and increased efficiency in both departments.
Improved medical response service by enhancing our Township contract with Medstar.
Invested in critical upgrades to equipment as well as major renovation to Fire Station 3 and hired dozens of new firefighters and police officers WITHOUT raising taxes
As founder of and 1st President of the non-profit, Friends of Chesterfield Police, we’ve increased community relations leading to recognition by the National Council for Home Safety and Security Organization as one of Michigan’s top 50 Safest Cities.

As chairman of the Township Water and Sewer Rate advisory board, lead the fight to repeal a proposed 27% rate increase.
Maintain low water bills by creating a rate increase “pass through system” that only permits rate adjustments in the exact amount increased by GLWA and the County Drain Commission with no hidden fees.
Initiated the reduction of extremely costly payments to outside engineering vendors by hiring an in-house Township engineer to manage sewer and water projects, saving residents 100’s of thousands of dollars.
Lead the initiative to prioritize sewer and water main repair projects by creating manageable maintenance schedules rather than costly emergency repairs.

Fought against and defeated a proposed Township policy that would have eliminated resident input on Township Board agenda items and the reduce the amount of time allowed for “Public Comments”.
